Focused practice benefits you more than hours of mindless practice. Try practicing during the commercial breaks of the TV show you were going to watch anyway (don't forget to mute the TV!). You might be surprised how much you get accomplished in several 2-4 minute practice sessions.

Current Students

The following are the lesson cancellations I have as of 04/26/2009. These dates effect lessons taught THROUGH the school districts. Arrangements can always be made to take lessons outside of school.

Prospective Students

Currently, I offer lessons to high school and college students at a rate of $60 per hour*. Interested students should be capable of playing all 12 major scales with at least half of those covering a range of two octaves. Performance of these scales and an etude of your choosing will be expected at the first lesson.

On rare occasion, I do offer 30-minute lessons for willing and accomplished junior high students. This does usually require the interest of two students that I can teach back-to-back or an accelerated interest and ability.

*Students interested in a long-term lesson play may be offered lower rates. This can be discussed after a student's initial lesson. Current students may have rates other than those listed above.
