subZERO - Example 9: Movement II, Measures 99-113
Stylistic Influence: Schnyder again uses specific techniques to help outline the blues feel of this section. There are passing note scoops in mm. 104, 109, and 112. A tear is written in m. 105. Also, the articulation markings and repeated note rhythms in mm. 106-107 give this section an offset swing feel.
Harmonic Influence: This section is written in D minor which gives it a blues feel, particularly with the use of C♮ versus C♯ in mm. 101-103.
